 Easy Lip Balm

3 oz oil (I like to use a combination of oils: sweet almond, jojoba, emu, hemp, avocado, shea or mango butter, etc.)
.5 oz of cocoa butter
1 oz of beeswax
essential oil or lip balm flavoring to taste

Melt beeswax in a glass measuring cup in the microwave for a few minutes - when the beeswax is melted - add the cocoa butter and melt in the microwave - when this is melted - add oils and stir well – make sure mixture is in liquid form.. Allow this liquid mixture to cool for a few minutes. Add essential oil or lip balm flavoring to taste - remember that a little goes a long way. I like using essentials oils of peppermint, spearmint, lavender, tea tree, orange, lemon, etc.

Fill sterilized lip balm tubes or lip balm pots – let cool completely before placing on lid.

This recipe will fill 25 lip balm tubes or clear lip balm pots.

Easy Herbal Salve

3 oz herbal infused oil (.5 oz of emu and/or hempseed oil can be used)
.5 oz of beeswax

Melt beeswax in a glass measuring cup in the microwave for a few minutes – when melted slowly add the herbal infused oil and stir.  Fill sterilized containers – let cool completely before placing on lid.

My favorite herbal infused oil is calendula, chamomile, lavender and chaparral. If you would like your salve “softer” add more oil – if you would like your salve “harder” add less oil.

Easy Body Powder

2 oz arrowroot
2 oz kaolin clay
2 oz cornstarch
1 oz baking soda
50 drops favorite essential oil or fragrance

Mix together arrowroot, kaolin clay, cornstarch and baking soda in a bowl.  Place dry ingredients into a sieve and sieve 10 times to remove the lumps and to thoroughly mix dry ingredients. Sprinkle essential oil or fragrance oil onto the sieved powder mixture, stir gently to mix.  Sieve the powder again 10 times to remove the lumps that the oil may have created.  Fill your favorite powder containers.
